A brief explanation of what kind of podcast this is. To be fair, it’s really only random in which movie I pick from week to week, but having a schtick is fun so I’m really hitching my wagon to the concept.

I decided to cover the one that started it all and really in retrospect delivers well enough on the final product that it’s not surprising it inspired such a huge collection of sequels and spin-offs.

I cover the “true” story of how Mark Zuckerberg created the social networking site Facebook, told through the lens of the legal action being taken against him after the fact. This movie is probably roughly 5% true.

I finally cover the theatrically released animated movie set in the Batman: The Animated Series universe! I’m doing so after a lot of requests over the years from an overly enthusiastic fan of the show! (Me, the enthusiastic fan is me)

I cover one of the best examples of movies that created widespread millennial trauma about a group of young dinosaurs who go on a journey together.

I cover one of the all-time great space travel movies, which is even better in my book because it’s based on real events.

I recap Sam Raimi’s second installment in his Spider-Man trilogy which is considered by many to be his best.

I cover the sequely-est action sequel that ever dared to be a second installment in a franchise. But it’s *technically* set at Christmas so it totally counts, yo.

I talk about the Rankin/Bass special that is significantly less special than the first 2 I already covered (“Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” and “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town”) but it does have some redeeming qualities. I guess.

I cover the Netflix stylized animated feature that came out in 2019 that I watched for the first time for this video.
